Sam Shepard

Sam Shepard (1943–2017) was an American playwright, screenwriter, and actor. He wrote more than 45 plays and received the Pulitzer Prize among other honors. As a screenwriter, he worked on films including “Zabriskie Point” and “Paris, Texas,” which received the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival. As an actor, Shepard appeared in films by directors including Wim Wenders and Robert Altman. His books published by S. Fischer include “Rolling Thunder,” a travel diary about Bob Dylan’s comeback tour, and the story collection “Drehtage”.
