Konrad Heidkamp

Konrad Heidkamp (1947–2009) studied German literature, politics and history. He worked as a secondary-school teacher in Munich and Berlin before becoming a music critic, initially writing for the taz newspaper. In Hamburg, he hosted jazz features for NDR and worked as an editor at the weekly newspaper DIE ZEIT, where he was responsible for children’s and young adult books. His publications include the literary jazz anthology *In the Mood* (1991) and *Sophisticated Ladies. Junge Frauen über 50* (2003).
