Hunter S. Thompson

Hunter S. Thompson was born in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1937 and died in 2005. He began his career as a sports journalist and later worked as a reporter for Rolling Stone magazine. He became known as a founder of Gonzo journalism, a highly subjective form of reportage. His best-known books include “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas,” “Hells Angels,” “The Rum Diary,” and “Kingdom of Fear.”
