Monika Mokre

Monika Mokre (born 1963) is a political scientist and political activist. She earned her doctorate at the University of Vienna and her habilitation at the University of Innsbruck. She worked as a senior researcher at the Institute of Culture Studies and Theatre Studies of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and taught at several universities. Her research has focused on democracy and the political public sphere, migration and asylum, prisons and exclusion, cultural policy, and gender studies.
