Silke van Dyk

Silke van Dyk (born 1972) is a German sociologist. She earned her doctorate at the University of Göttingen and completed her habilitation at Friedrich Schiller University Jena. In 2016, she was appointed Professor of Political Sociology at the university. Her research has focused on political sociology, social inequality, social policy and the welfare state, as well as ageing and demography.
