Stefanie Kron (b. 1968) is a sociologist, author and professor of social work at the Protestant University of Applied Sciences Berlin. Her scholarly and journalistic work addresses migration and border regimes from a globally comparative perspective, solidarity-city movements in Europe and North America, and transnational labor struggles. She has worked as a visiting professor at the Institute of International Development at the University of Vienna and as a researcher at the Institute for Latin American Studies at Freie Universität Berlin. Her publications include “Solidarity Cities in Europe” (2019, co-edited with Wenke Christoph) and “Building Solidarity Cities: From Protest to Policy” (2020, with Henrik Lebuhn).
