Jochen Mariss

Jochen Mariss, born in Cologne in 1955, studied graphic design with a focus on photography in Bielefeld. He co-founded the publishing house Grafik Werkstatt, where numerous poems and photographs by him were published, including in the form of photo-text postcards. These lyrical works marked the beginning of his writing career; he later wrote short stories, children’s books, and novels. His novel *Tage am Fluss* was his debut novel.
