Erika Thomalla

Erika Thomalla (born 1986) is a scholar of German literature and book studies. She worked as a research associate at the Institute of German Literature at Humboldt University of Berlin and taught modern German literature there. She later served as a professor of book studies and digital book culture at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. In 2013–14, she was a fellow at Cornell University; in 2017, she received a Visiting Junior Fellowship at Georgetown University and a research grant from the Klassik Stiftung Weimar. Her monographs include *Die Erfindung des Dichterbundes. Die Medienpraktiken des Göttinger Hains* (2018) and *Anwälte des Autors. Zur Geschichte der Herausgeberschaft im 18. und 19. Jahrhundert* (2020).
