Christoph Links (born in 1954 in Caputh near Potsdam) studied philosophy and Latin American studies in Berlin and Leipzig from 1975 to 1980. He then worked as a Latin America editor for the Berliner Zeitung and as a nonfiction author and literary reviewer. From 1986 to 1989, he was employed by Aufbau-Verlag. In December 1989, he founded Ch. Links Verlag, a publishing house specializing in politics and twentieth-century history. In 2008, he earned a doctorate at Humboldt University of Berlin with a dissertation on the privatization of East German publishing houses during German reunification. Links has published and edited numerous books and articles on literary and contemporary history.
