Carsten Wurm

Carsten Wurm, born in 1960, studied German literature in Leipzig. From 1985 to 1992, he worked as an archivist at Aufbau-Verlag. In 1996, he received a doctorate from Humboldt University of Berlin with a dissertation on the history of Aufbau-Verlag. He worked as a research associate at Humboldt University and as an archivist at the Academy of Arts in Berlin. From 2001, he worked as an antiquarian bookseller and was also editor-in-chief of “Marginalien – Zeitschrift für Buchkunst und Bibliophilie,” a journal devoted to book art and bibliophily. His publications include “150 Jahre Rütten & Loening” (1994), “Jeden Tag ein Buch. Fünfzig Jahre Aufbau-Verlag” (1995), and “Der frühe Aufbau-Verlag. Konzepte und Kontroversen” (1996). He also co-edited the three-volume “Autoren- und Verlegerbriefe” from the Aufbau-Verlag archive.
