Karosh Taha

Karosh Taha was born in 1987 in Zaxo, Iraq. As a child, she fled Saddam Hussein’s dictatorship with her family and moved to Germany. She studied English and history at the University of Duisburg-Essen and English literature in Kansas. Her debut novel, “Beschreibung einer Krabbenwanderung,” was published in 2018, followed by “Im Bauch der Königin” and “Gulistan.” Taha has received numerous scholarships and awards for her literary work, including the Hohenems Literature Prize and the Alfred Döblin Medal.
