Azadeh Sharifi

Azadeh Sharifi (PhD), born in 1980, is a scholar of theatre and performance studies. Her research has focused on (post)colonial and (post)migrant theatre history, contemporary performance art, and intersectional and decolonial practices in theatre. Her academic affiliations have included the University of Toronto, the Berlin University of the Arts, LMU Munich, TU Dresden, and Freie Universität Berlin, where she worked as a visiting professor, postdoctoral researcher, and fellow.
