Mehdi Moradpour

Mehdi Moradpour is a writer, court and community interpreter, and translator of Persian (Farsi and Dari) and Spanish. He studied Hispanic Studies, computer science, sociology, American Studies and Arabic Studies in Leipzig and Havana, as well as playwriting in Graz. Alongside his literary work, he was active in independent theatre groups, journalism and dramaturgy, including at the Münchner Kammerspiele and Schauspiel Bochum. His texts have been translated several times. In 2016, he received the exil Dramatists’ Prize from WIENER WORTSTAETTEN, followed by the Christian Dietrich Grabbe Prize in 2017.
