Charlotte Brandi was born in Herdecke in 1985 and grew up in Dortmund. She initially worked mainly as a theatre musician and became known to a wider audience as a member of the duo Me and My Drummer. The duo disbanded in 2018, after which Brandi released solo albums. Fischtage marked her literary debut.
