Marei Schweitzer

Born in Unna in 1973, Marei Schweitzer studied graphic design, printmaking and illustration in Bremen, Stockholm and Strasbourg. She worked as an illustrator and storyteller for books and magazines and taught illustration at two universities in southern England. Her work includes the illustrations for Rolf-Bernhard Essig’s book of idioms, »Da wird doch der Hund in der Pfanne verrückt« (2009), as well as for »Lesen ist doof« (2023) by Nils Freytag and Silke Schlichtmann and the accompanying postcard set (2024).
