Sybille Hein

Sybille Hein (born 1970) is an author, illustrator and musician. She studied philosophy and illustration and performed for many years with her musical cabaret act “Sybille und der kleine Wahnsinnige.” She wrote books for children and adults, radio plays, satirical texts and songs. Her children’s books include “Prinz Bummelletzter” (2016), “Luca und Ludmilla” (2019) and “Große sind Schisser” (2025). She also illustrated, among other works, Claudia Schreiber’s “Sultan und Kotzbrocken” (2004) and “Sultan und Kotzbrocken in einer Welt ohne Kissen” (2014), as well as Tanya Lieske’s children’s series “Wir sind (die) Weltklasse.” Her first adult novel, “Vorwärts küssen, rückwärts lieben,” was accompanied by a collection of songs written and composed especially for the story.
