Henrike Wilson

Henrike Wilson (born 1961 in Cologne) studied graphic design and painting in Cologne and in the United States, including in Washington, D.C. She worked as a freelance author and illustrator and created numerous children’s and picture books. Her best-known works include the books about Little Santa Claus, the Little Scatterbrained Witch and Charlotte the Sheep, all written by Anu Stohner. Charlotte the Sheep was named one of the best-illustrated books of the year by The New York Times; in 2007, Wilson received a New York Times award for her illustration work. She also illustrated books by Rafik Schami, Jostein Gaarder and David Grossman. Her books have been translated into numerous languages.
