Maja Bohn

Maja Bohn was born in Rostock in 1968. After abandoning classical dance training, she completed an apprenticeship as a bookseller and worked for several years in publishing in Berlin. In the mid-1990s, she studied at Berlin Weißensee School of Art, graduating in communication design. She subsequently worked as a freelance illustrator and author in the fields of children’s and school books. Her work includes the illustrations for all of Silke Schlichtmann’s Mattis books, as well as contributions to Lesen ist doof (2023) and its accompanying postcard set (2024).
