Katia Sophia Ditzler

Katia Sophia Ditzler (born 1992) studied literary writing, ethnology, musicology, and Indology/Tibetology/Mongolistics in Leipzig, Kyiv, Moscow, and Berlin. Her work spans literature, music, video, performance, and digital media. Her texts have appeared in journals and anthologies, while her films and performances have been presented at festivals. In 2017–18, she received the Indonesian government’s Darmasiswa scholarship and studied gamelan, shadow puppetry, and Javanese dance in Yogyakarta. At the age of 19 or 20, she traveled alone by hitchhiking from Germany to Singapore.
