Hannes Bajohr

Hannes Bajohr, born in Berlin in 1984, studied philosophy, German literature, and history in Berlin and New York and earned a doctorate with a dissertation on Hans Blumenberg’s philosophy of language. He worked as a philosopher and literary scholar and held positions including at the University of Basel’s Department of Media Studies and as Assistant Professor of German at the University of California, Berkeley. Bajohr has published prose, essays, and digital literature, and translated works by Kenneth Goldsmith and Judith Shklar from English. His books include Halbzeug. Textverarbeitung (2018), Digitale Literatur II (2021), and Schreibenlassen. Texte zur Literatur im Digitalen (2022). In 2022, he edited the correspondence between Hans Blumenberg and Hans Jonas.
