Friedhelm Ptok

Friedhelm Ptok was born in Hamburg in 1933. After completing an apprenticeship as a printer, he trained privately as an actor and performed at numerous theaters, including the Münchner Kammerspiele, the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg and the Staatliche Schauspielbühnen Berlin. He appeared in film and television productions such as “Alphateam,” “Praxis Bülowbogen,” “Unser Lehrer, Dr. Specht” and “Kartoffeln mit Stippe,” and also worked as a director. As a voice actor, he provided the German voices of, among others, John Cleese and Jeremy Irons. Ptok also recorded numerous radio plays and audiobooks, including works by Agatha Christie, Jules Verne and James Krüss.
