Peter Kaempfe studied acting and worked as an actor, director, author, and narrator of audiobooks and radio plays. Together with two colleagues, he founded the Bremen Shakespeare Company and Theater aus Bremen; the latter gave more than 2,000 performances internationally. Kaempfe appeared, among other productions, in the television crime series “Tatort” and the NDR children’s radio program “Bücherwurm grüßt Leseratte.” His voice can be heard in more than 800 television documentaries and in over 400 radio plays and audiobooks. He served as the station voice of Radio Bremen’s Nordwestradio for 13 years. His recordings include works by Agatha Christie and “Iliad – The Battle for Troy,” for which he was nominated for the German Audiobook Prize. He also became known at Hörverlag as the narrator of numerous audiobooks by Peter Wohlleben.
