Wolfgang Beutin, born in 1934, is a linguist and literary historian. He was a Privatdozent at the University of Bremen and previously worked as a visiting professor in Göttingen and as a university lecturer in Hamburg; he also taught as a visiting lecturer and adjunct instructor in Oldenburg and Lüneburg. His numerous publications address linguistics and literary history, including “Preisgekrönte. Zwölf Autoren und Autorinnen von Paul Heyse bis Herta Müller. Ausgewählte Werke, sprachkritisch untersucht” (“Prizewinners: Twelve Male and Female Authors from Paul Heyse to Herta Müller: Selected Works Examined from a Critical Linguistic Perspective”).
