Sonja Angelika Strube (born 1968) is a German Catholic theologian and New Testament scholar. She completed her habilitation with an empirical and exegetical study of everyday readings and interpretations of biblical texts, published in 2009 as “Bibelverständnis zwischen Alltag und Wissenschaft” (Understanding the Bible between Everyday Life and Scholarship). Strube served, among other positions, as a private lecturer and research associate at universities in Osnabrück and Kaiserslautern-Landau, held several substitute professorships, and headed the women’s education department of a Catholic academy for three years. Her scholarly work focused on Biblical and Practical Theology, as well as Christianity and far-right extremism, religious fundamentalism, and right-wing Catholicism.
