Sabine Peters (born 1961) studied literary studies, philosophy and political science. She worked as a freelance writer and published novels, short stories, radio plays, essays and criticism. Her literary work received, among other distinctions, the Ernst Willner Prize at the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition, the Clemens Brentano Prize, the Evangelischer Buchpreis, the Georg K. Glaser Prize and, in 2016, the Italo Svevo Prize. Her most recently listed novels include »Ein wahrer Apfel leuchtete am Himmelszelt« (2020) and »Die dritte Hälfte« (2024).
