Per Leo, born in Erlangen in 1972, studied philosophy, modern and contemporary history, and Slavic studies in Freiburg and Berlin. He earned his doctorate with a study on the history of antisemitism in Germany and received the Humboldt University of Berlin’s special prize for “Judaism and Antisemitism” in 2011. His debut novel, “Flut und Boden. Roman einer Familie,” was nominated for the 2014 Leipzig Book Fair Prize. His other publications include the co-authored guide “Mit Rechten reden.” Alongside his work as a freelance author, Leo has also worked as a box maker.
