Oliver Decker

Oliver Decker (born 1968) studied psychology, sociology and philosophy. After earning a diploma in psychology, he received a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Kassel in 2003 and completed his habilitation in social psychology at the University of Hanover in 2010. He worked as a social psychologist at Leipzig University, where he co-directed studies on authoritarian and far-right attitudes in Germany with Elmar Brähler from 2002 onward; until 2018, these were known as the Leipzig “Mitte” Studies. His publications include »Der Warenkörper« (2011), »Vom KZ zum Eigenheim« (2016), and the two-volume textbook »Sozialpsychologie und Sozialtheorie« (2018).
