Samuel Salzborn, born in 1977 in Hanover, is a political scientist. He studied political science, sociology, psychology and law at the University of Hanover, earned his doctorate in Cologne and completed his habilitation in political science in Giessen. From 2012 to 2017, he was professor of the foundations of social sciences at the University of Göttingen. His research has focused on political theory and the history of ideas, political culture and democracy, as well as antisemitism and right-wing extremism. In 2015, he received the University of Göttingen’s Board of Trustees Award in the category “Science and the Public.”
