Kerstin Rubel (born 1974) is a German author who also writes under the pseudonym Mette Thansen. She studied theatre, film and television studies, German studies and political science at the University of Cologne and completed public relations training at the Westdeutsche Akademie für Kommunikation. She subsequently founded and ran a PR agency for ten years. Rubel has published two novels with Droemer Knaur.
