Andreas Winkelmann, born in 1968, is a German author best known for his thrillers. Before becoming a writer, he worked in a variety of jobs, including as a baker, soldier, fitness instructor, taxi driver, insurance salesman and employee at a honey factory. He wrote his first novels in school exercise books as a student. His published works include Blinder Instinkt, Höllental, Wassermanns Zorn, Deathbook and Die Zucht.
