Kerstin Grether became known as a writer, singer, and pop culture journalist. In 2006, Suhrkamp published her novel “Zuckerbabys,” which deals with anorexia and the media and was described as a cult novel. She also published numerous articles and columns in cultural sections, anthologies, and magazines including Intro, frieze, and the Frankfurter Rundschau. In 2008, she co-founded the band Doctorella, where she worked as a singer and songwriter.
