Johanna Moosdorf (1911–2000) was a German writer born in Leipzig. She worked as a feuilleton editor for the Leipziger Volkszeitung and served as editor-in-chief of the literary journal März in 1947–48. From 1950 onward, she worked as a freelance writer and published novels, short stories, and poetry. Her works include Die Andermanns, Fahr hinaus in das Nachtmeer, Die Freundinnen, Jahrhundertträume, Die Tochter, and Franziska an Sophie. She married Paul Bernstein in 1932 and, during the Second World War, fled to Czechoslovakia with their two children.
