Hemley Boum

Hemley Boum was born in 1973 in Douala, Cameroon. She studied social sciences in Yaoundé and international trade in Lille, France. Her novels include “Si d’aimer …”, which was shortlisted for the 2013 Ahmadou-Kourouma Prize. Her novel “The Song of the Lost” (“Les Maquisards”) received the Grand Prix littéraire d’Afrique Noire in 2015.
