Eva Muggenthaler (born 1971 in Fürth) is a German illustrator. She studied illustration and graphic design at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and subsequently worked as a freelance illustrator for various publishers, particularly in the field of children’s and picture books. She became known in part for her illustrations for Peter Härtling’s “Hirbel.” She was nominated twice for the German Children’s Literature Award: in 1998 for the picture book “Der Schäfer Raul,” which she also wrote, and in 2008 for “Der weiße und der schwarze Bär,” created in collaboration with Jürg Schubiger.
