Bodo Manstein

Bodo Manstein, born in 1962 in Mülheim an der Ruhr, is a novelist from Schleswig-Holstein. He grew up in the Bergisches Land region and spent much of his time on the island of Baltrum, where he developed a strong connection to the sea. After graduating from school, he joined the German Navy in 1982. He lived with his family on Sylt from 1994 to 2002. With Juli.Mord., he launched a crime series set on Sylt and featuring island painter Robert Benning and his friend, Chief Inspector Hinrichs.
