Alexandre Metraux

Alexandre Métraux (born 1945) studied philosophy, psychology and constitutional law at the University of Basel, where he also earned his doctorate. His research focused on the history of science, particularly the history of neuroscience in the 18th and 19th centuries, as well as the history of scientific media and instruments. He also worked on theories of collecting and collections.
