Wolfram Lotz

Wolfram Lotz was born in Hamburg in 1981 and grew up in the Black Forest. He studied literature, art and media studies in Konstanz and creative writing at the German Institute for Literature in Leipzig. His play “Der große Marsch” received, among other distinctions, the Kleist Encouragement Award and the Audience Award of the Berlin Stückemarkt in 2011. Following “Einige Nachrichten an das All,” he received the Dramatikerpreis of the Cultural Circle of German Business in 2012 and the Kassel Encouragement Award for Comic Literature in 2013. “Die lächerliche Finsternis” was invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen and the Mülheim Theatre Days in 2015. That year, Lotz also received the Nestroy Award for Best Play.
