Waseem Hussain

Waseem Hussain, born in 1966 in the Pakistani port city of Karachi, grew up in Kilchberg on Lake Zurich. He worked as a writer, essayist and songwriter. Early in his career, he curated art exhibitions, organized cultural events and was a member of the Independent Regional Experts Group of the Swiss cultural foundation Pro Helvetia. As a journalist, he reported from South Asia for the Swiss press. He received the Prix Mass-Médias from the Fondation Christophe Eckenstein for his investigative research.
