Klemens Renoldner (born 1953 in Schärding am Inn) is an Austrian writer and literary scholar. He worked for the journals SALZ and Kosmos Österreich and held positions as a theatre director, dramaturge and director at Vienna’s Burgtheater, the Wiener Festwochen, the Münchner Kammerspiele, the Theatre Freiburg, Schauspielhaus Zürich and Stadttheater Bern. He also taught at universities in Austria, Switzerland and Germany. Renoldner was the founding director of the Stefan Zweig Centre at the University of Salzburg. His publications include the story collection “Man schließt nur kurz die Augen” (2008), the novel “Lilys Ungeduld” (2011) and the stories “Avenida Errázuriz” (2013).
