Daniela Engist (born in 1971 near Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany) is a German writer. Before turning to literary writing, she worked as a freelance journalist and as a PR and communications manager, spending 13 years with multinational corporations in Switzerland, including in Basel. She writes novels and short stories. Her debut novel, *Kleins Große Sache*, was published by Klöpfer & Meyer in 2017.
