Alex Capus

Alex Capus, born in 1961 in Normandy, is a German-language writer and journalist. He studied history, philosophy and ethnology in Basel and worked as a journalist and editor for daily newspapers and the Swiss Depeschenagentur news service. Capus wrote novels, short stories and reportage, including Léon and Louise, Travelling in the Light of the Stars, Susanna and Das kleine Haus am Sonnenhang. He received the Solothurn Art Prize in 2020 for his literary work. He also translated novels by the American author John Fante into German.
