Sebastian Bernhardt

Sebastian Bernhardt (born 1984) is a scholar of literature and media education. He completed his habilitation at Technische Universität Braunschweig with a study of literary exhibitions and their potential for literary learning. He previously worked there as a Privatdozent and represented a professorship in German literature and its teaching, with a focus on primary education, at the Pädagogische Hochschule Schwäbisch Gmünd. In 2023, he was appointed to a professorship in literature and media education at the University of Münster. His research interests include transmedia narratology and literary education, literary learning in exhibitions, and diversity-oriented and power-critical approaches to literature and media education.
