Kirsten Kumschlies

Dr Kirsten Kumschlies is an academic lecturer in German language education for primary schools at the University of Trier. Her academic work focuses on children’s and young adult literature dealing with the history of East Germany, the fall of the Berlin Wall and German reunification, examined from historical and educational perspectives. Further areas of interest include the teaching of children’s novels, libraries as places of learning outside school, and handwriting scripts in primary-school German education.
