Rainer Forst is a political theorist and philosopher. He held a professorship in political theory and philosophy at Goethe University Frankfurt and directed the research center “Normative Orders.” In 2012, he received the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize from the German Research Foundation. Forst is a member of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities and the British Academy.
