Felicitas Hillmann

Felicitas Hillmann (Prof. Dr.) received her doctorate in 1994 through the “Social and Spatial Change” doctoral program at the Universities of Bremen and Oldenburg. Her professional positions included research posts at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center and the Institute of Economic and Social Research of the Hans Böckler Foundation. In 2006, she took up a professorship in human geography at the University of Bremen; in 2012, she was a visiting professor at Freie Universität Berlin and the University of Cologne. From 2015, she headed the “Regeneration of Cities” department at the Leibniz Institute for Research on Society and Space and held a professorship in “Urban Transformation in an International Context” at TU Berlin. Her research areas include international migration, labor-market integration, transnationalism, gender, and urban and regional development.
