Oliver Lubrich

Oliver Lubrich, born in Berlin in 1970, is a literary scholar and editor. His academic career included a professorship in comparative literature at the University of Bern and teaching at Freie Universität Berlin, where he also held a junior professorship in rhetoric. He published studies on Shakespeare, postcolonial poetics, and experimental rhetoric. His research has focused on Alexander von Humboldt and international literary accounts of Nazi Germany. Lubrich edited numerous works by Humboldt, including Cosmos, Views of the Cordilleras, Central Asia, and his collected writings. His other publications include Journeys into the Reich, 1933–1945, Reports from the Drop Zone, 1939–1945, Thomas Wolfe: A Journey through Germany, and Humboldt, or How Travel Changes Thought.
