Johanna von Koppenfels

Johanna von Koppenfels (born 1964) is a German translator and editor. She studied English and Hispanic studies in Berlin, London, and Salamanca. Her work includes a five-volume edition of Giacomo Casanova’s “History of My Life,” literary anthologies, and a book on Jewish cemeteries in Berlin. She translated texts into German by, among others, Alexander von Humboldt, William Hamilton, W. E. B. Du Bois, Dorothy Thompson, and Octavio Paz.
