Michaela Ott

Michaela Ott (born 1964) is a philosopher, film scholar and translator, including of works by Michel Foucault and Jean Baudrillard. She was a professor of aesthetic theories at the Academy of Fine Arts Hamburg. Her research has focused on poststructuralist philosophy, film aesthetics, theories of space and affect, as well as dividuation and postcolonial perspectives. Her publications include »Gilles Deleuze – Zur Einführung« (2005), »Ästhetik und Politik« (2009), »Affizierung. Zu einer ästhetisch-epistemischen Figur« (2010) and »Dividuationen. Theorien der Teilhabe« (2015).
