Elisabeth von Samsonow is a German-Austrian philosopher, artist, and sculptor. She worked as a full professor of Philosophical and Historical Anthropology of Art at the Institute of Art and Cultural Studies of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Her academic interests include philosophy and the history of religion, collective consciousness, and the relationship between art and religion. She also explored the history and present of the perception of women, female identity, and the dissolution of the self in modernity.
