Klaus Herbers (born 1951) is a German medieval historian. He was professor of medieval history and historical auxiliary sciences at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, where he is professor emeritus. His research focused on the history of Spain and the papacy in the early and high Middle Ages, as well as hagiography and the cult of St James. His publications include Mirakelberichte des frühen und hohen Mittelalters (2005) and Geschichte des Papsttums im Mittelalter (2012).
